the world's "pinkest person" marries her favorite color
Ever love someone so much that you just want to take the next step in your relationship? For the self-described "Queen of Pink," that special someone is actually a special something. Kitten Kay Sera, an influencer, performer, and lover of all things pink who recently appeared on the cover of Vogue Portugal's pink issue, married the color in a Las Vegas ceremony earlier this week, reports KVVU TV.
Holding a swatch featuring various shades of the hue, Kitten became the first known person to marry a color at the Little White Wedding Chapel on New Year's Day, reported the local news outlet. The bride told KVVU that the idea came to her when a kid was heckling her for wearing so much pink: "If you like pink so much, why don't you marry it?'" two years ago. "Not a bad idea," she surmised. Two years later, she was walking down the aisle with the color.
It's a longer-term relationship than that, though; Kitten has been living her truth for over four decades now, as Vogue reported, and her monochromatic world is entirely pink: from the microwave and the treadmill to her dog, hair, and custom VW car.
"Life is too short," Kitten told KVVU of the motivation to get married to the color. "Have fun. Have a ball!"
