What are your predictions for popular paint colors in 2022? Why?
Hot pink, because it's the ultimate maximalist's color, the reflection lends everyone a rosy glow, and the richness creates a cozy environment.
What are some of your favorite uses of paint in your recent projects?
I have been lacquering furniture and cornice boards in neon colors.
What are your favorite paints: white, pink, blue, neutral, and bold?
I love all paint colors. The fabrics in the room determine the paint for my design projects.

When in your design process do you choose paints?
After all the fabrics and upholstered furniture are set and we've determined what art will be in the room. If choosing a neutral, I put at least 4 large samples on the wall in all the different light sources and I ask the client to live with them for a little bit before making a final decision.
How do you find the right match?
With color, I always choose the most saturated version of the tone that I need.

Are there any particular challenges you have when it comes to selecting paint? How do you overcome “bad” paint experiences?
Paint is hard and very intimidating to most clients, which always makes me giggle because it's the easiest, quickest, and least expensive thing to change.
Share a recent project where color (bold, neutral, or something in between) was the star of the room or of the project.
I have a signature hot pink with Fine Paints of Europe called Rainey Day Pink. I've used it in my own 2 most recent homes and there's always a wall in my shop painted in it. I never lead with, ‘I want to paint your living room hot pink.’ I show them photos first. When clients see the finished result, they absolutely love it.
